Instructor Invite

SUBJECT LINE: [CURRENT TERM] Online Evaluation Period Has Begun!

Dear Instructor,

Students have until [END TIME AND DATE] to log into MyUCLA to complete evaluations for your courses listed below:

[COURSES LISTED HERE]

In addition to completing course evaluations this quarter, students are being asked to provide feedback about remote instruction in each of their courses. Your course’s results will be returned to you and will also be used by UCLA’s Center for the Advancement of Teaching (CAT) and the College Faculty Executive Committee (FEC) at an aggregate level to learn about what is or is not working in the remote environment. Please visit the Student Perspectives tab of the Keep Teaching – Pedagogy website for an idea of how aggregate course data will be used:

https://teaching.ucla.edu/resources/keep-teaching/#student-perspectives

Any comments used in summary reports will be anonymized. Your individual course’s responses to the “Feedback on Remote Instruction” are for your use and can be shared at your discretion. They will NOT be shared with your department or division leadership by CAT or the FEC. We would appreciate your assistance in encouraging students to complete the survey.

ENTERING GRADES BEFORE THE EVALUATION WINDOW CLOSES PREVENTS STUDENTS FROM SUBMITTING FURTHER EVALUATIONS FOR THAT CLASS.

You have the option to use class time for your students to complete their evaluations with smartphones, iPads, and tablets. Please note that not all classrooms are WI-FI enabled.

For more details about this process, please contact your departmental Evaluation Coordinator or visit our website.

Thank you!
