Alongside her work at UCLA, Elyse is a longtime volunteer at Freedom House Detroit helping to provide wraparound services to individuals seeking humanitarian protections in the United States. In her free time, she enjoys learning new languages, dancing (mainly ballet and salsa) and playing video games.
