Molly S. Jacobs, Ph.D., is the Coordinator for Curriculum Assessment at the UCLA Teaching and Learning Center. In this role, she conducts program evaluations and collaborates with individual faculty to offer assessment support for classroom innovations and grant-funded projects.
She has long held an interest in interdisciplinary work that addresses inequities in organizations, and in focusing on equitable and accessible teaching practices, places the experiences of students front and center. Before joining the assessment team at the TLC, she taught a range of courses in sociology and civic engagement as a lecturer at UCLA and visiting professor at Occidental College.
Molly earned her Ph.D. in Sociology at UCLA in 2017, a master’s degree in Forensic Psychology from John Jay College of Criminal Justice, and a bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Anthropology from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. Her doctoral research explored how conflict can shape organizational identities and help them adapt to change. She enjoys watching scary movies, and slightly prefers cats over dogs.
