Paula Yau is the Human Resources Manager at the UCLA Teaching and Learning Center, where she manages the department’s human resources and payroll operations. She provides comprehensive administrative, analytical, payroll, and personnel support to both staff and academic employees in TLC.
She more than 20 years of experience in various aspects of human resources. Paula spent a decade working in HR within the transportation sector at a mid-sized logistics firm. In 2016, Paula joined UCLA as the Academic and Staff Personnel Manager in the Life Sciences South Administration, a role she held for four years before becoming the department’s Chief Administrative Officer. She later transitioned to the College of Letters and Science as the College Staff Personnel Manager in 2022 and assumed her current role at TLC in 2024.
Paula’s dedication to human resources is driven by her passion for supporting TLC and the broader UCLA community. Paula holds both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in Business Administration from Loyola Marymount University.
