Sirui Wang, Ph.D., is a Senior Instructional Designer at the UCLA Teaching and Learning Center. She is responsible for planning and developing innovative, equity-minded, and accessible courses that leverage interactive multimedia content and appropriate, mobile-friendly educational technology and tools to engage diverse learners. She also coordinates the Instructional Design Showcases and consults on several campus-wide committees, where she contributes to discussions about teaching evaluation and teaching excellence. Sirui has been instrumental in establishing instructional design standards, integrating Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) into curricula, and mentoring graduate students in instructional design practices.
Before joining UCLA at 2019, Sirui provided instructional design services and consultations for Colorado State University Online, developing hundreds of courses and learning products.
Sirui earned her Ph.D. in Instructional Technology and Design from the University of Southern Mississippi. Her research interests include instructional design processes and models, learner engagement, workforce upskilling, online education, and the adoption of educational technologies. She is also an adjunct professor with Valdosta State University’s doctoral, master’s, and certificate programs in Instructional Design and Technology Leadership.
