Senior Advisor to the VPTL for Digital Accessibility Strategic Planning

Jess Gregg serves as Senior Associate Director for Educational Development for UCLA’s Center for Education Innovation and Learning in the Sciences (CEILS) and Senior Advisor to the Vice Provost for Teaching & Learning for Digital Accessibility Strategic Planning for the TLC. In this joint role, Jess serves as a liaison between CEILS and the TLC to facilitate collaborative programming and partnership. 

With over a decade of experience in educational development and instructional design, Jess leads initiatives that foster community for instructors and advance learning for all students in partnership with campus leadership, instructors, and staff. Jess served as the PI on the NSF INCLUDES Aspire Award, leading efforts to strengthen pathways to the STEM professoriate in collaboration with regional community colleges and national partners. She has co-chaired multiple UCLA groups including UCLA’s Cross-Campus Teaching Innovations Group (CTIG) and the UCLA Working Group on Accessibility and Instruction. Jess has co-taught University Studies 10 at UCLA and led many CEILS summer institutes, learning communities, events, and workshops. Beginning in Fall 2025 she will serve as Co-Chair of the UC Center for Teaching and Learning Consortium.

Jess earned an MA and EdM in Counseling Psychology from Teachers College Columbia University, and a BA in Psychology from Wesleyan University (while playing rugby!). Previously, Jess worked as a therapist in community mental health counseling, child services, and career services before transitioning to higher education and eventually joining UCLA in 2015. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her husband and two young kids in Santa Monica.
