2023–2024 UCLA Distinguished Teaching Award Recipients

Dear Colleagues:

The Distinguished Teaching Award celebrates exceptional teaching and commitment to student success. Six senate faculty, three non-senate faculty, and five teaching assistants are selected from a highly competitive pool of nominees each year to receive the award.

This year, the Distinguished Teaching Award Selection Committee is honored to recognize the following recipients for their demonstrated passion for teaching, their drive to continually improve teaching practices, and their positive and significant impact on their students.

Senate Faculty

  • Hannah Landecker, Sociology and the Institute for Society and Genetics

Furthermore, Professor Hannah Landecker will receive the Eby Award for the Art of Teaching, Professor Nina Rabin will be receiving the award for Distinction in Teaching at the Graduate Level, and Professor Leisy Abrego will receive the award for Distinction in Undergraduate Research Mentorship.
