Graduate-Professional Student Appreciation Week at the Teaching and Learning Center
The UCLA Teaching and Learning Center (TLC) will participate in National Graduate-Professional Student Appreciation Week from April 7-11. UCLA’s approximately 13,600 graduate students play a critical role in advancing instructional excellence on campus as committed instructors, section leaders, graders, and teaching assistants in the classroom. With the elevation of teaching outlined as Goal 4 of UCLA’s Strategic Plan, graduate students’ impact as effective educators remains integral to the university’s future success.
The TLC will be hosting several events to celebrate UCLA graduate students as part of National Graduate-Professional Student Appreciation Week:
TA Happy Hour & TAC Celebration
3:30 p.m.– 5:30 p.m., April 8 | Royce Hall 306
Join the TLC for a happy hour to recognize the contributions of graduate student TAs and TACs to teaching and learning at UCLA. This event is open to graduate and professional students. Register here.
TA/Postdoc Drop-In Hours—Wellbeing Edition!
2 p.m. – 4 p.m., April 10 | Powell Library 190
Join us for wellbeing-themed drop-in hours in honor of Graduate-Professional Student Appreciation Week. Consult with the Graduate and Postdoctoral Student Engagement (GSPSE) team on your teaching and pedagogy questions; build community with fellow TAs; and enjoy snacks and a wellness activity.
