Project Manager

Walen Ngo is the Project Manager for the UCLA Teaching and Learning Center where he supports strategic and high-impact academic initiatives that advance teaching excellence, curricular innovation, digital accessibility, and institutional effectiveness. He supports major campus-wide initiatives including the Classroom Modernization Initiative, AI in Teaching and Learning, Digital Accessibility efforts, and Educational Innovation Grants.

For over 12 years, Walen was a Program Manager for Department of Business, Leadership, and Management programs at UCLA Extension and was responsible for program implementation, budget management, and staff supervision and development. He recently served as the Interim Director for the department and managed the largest portfolio of UCLA Extension certificates and courses. He also previously served on the UCLA Staff Assembly Executive Board for four years and was President of UCLA Staff Assembly during 2017-2018.

Walen graduated from UC Irvine with dual B.A. degrees in Economics and International Studies. He is a big fan of the Lakers, Dodgers, and Rams and really enjoys golfing whenever he finds the time to do so.  Last year, Walen learned how to play mahjong with his in-laws and is open to playing with any one that is interested.
