Winter 2025 Quarterly Update

We know wildfires across the Los Angeles region are impacting many members of the UCLA community, and we want to remind you that the TLC has resources available to support instructor and student well-being. Our guides on maintaining instructional continuity offer insight into managing a learning environment during this challenging time.

Additionally, the Academic Senate shared information about how instructors can seek temporary emergency distance authorization from their departments as outlined on page 7 of the Undergraduate Distance Education Policy and Graduate Distance Education Policy. The Bruin Learn Center of Excellence is also extending office hours today, will be available for on-demand support, and will be posting a banner in Bruin Learn to provide updates and guidance for instructors.

While our campus navigates this time of anxiety and hardship, we encourage our instructional community to practice empathy and flexibility with all students and colleagues. Campus operations updates will be posted on Bruin Safe Online.
