TA & Postdoc Teaching Conference

The TLC’s annual conference supports the continued professional development of teaching assistants and postdoctoral scholars to develop advanced teaching practices benefiting a range of career trajectories.

The 52nd Annual TA & Postdoc Teaching Conference

9:30 AM–4:30 PM September 16 | Zoom
9:30 AM–6:45 PM September 17 | Royce Hall and Haines Hall Classrooms

The TLC’s annual TA & Postdoc Teaching Conference offers opportunities for novice and experienced instructors to build a community of colleagues and develop their teaching toolkits. This latest iteration of the conference expands offerings for postdoctoral scholars as well as new and returning TAs to build the necessary skills to start fall quarter strong.

The two days are filled with programs designed specifically for TAs and postdocs with varied levels of teaching experience, along with opportunities to network with fellow graduate students, postdoctoral scholars, and instructors. Participants will gain awareness of campus resources to support teaching development and sit in on flash talks by current UCLA graduate students and postdocs highlighting innovative teaching strategies they’ve used to tackle classroom challenges. An added bonus: attendees will also be enrolled in opportunity drawings and gain extra entries for every session they attend.

Registration

Please note that this is a two-day event with distinct content on each day. You are welcome to attend the event in full or in part. Register by Thursday, September 11 to attend.
