Overview

The UCLA Teaching and Learning Center (TLC) provides resources, services, and training opportunities for UCLA Extension instructors. Explore this site to find teaching guidance, information about scheduling one-on-one consultations, and access to course design services.

 

Learning on Wednesdays:  Drop-In Clinics & Workshops

UCLA Extension instructors are invited to join the UCLA Teaching and Learning Center on Wednesdays from 12:00–1:00 p.m. for drop-in clinics and focused workshops throughout the quarter. 

Join the online Drop-in Hours

Drop-in clinics provide an informal opportunity to bring questions about your course, assignments, assessment, Canvas, accessibility, student engagement, or other teaching challenges and talk them through with TLC staff. Focused workshops will offer practical strategies and resources on timely teaching topics.

Efficient Grading

Description: This resource walks through strategies and tools that streamline the grading process and allow instructors to be attentive to student needs while also protecting their time.

In-Class Polling

This guide provides strategies for incorporating polling technology into class sessions as well as compares the different polling platforms instructors might use.
