Presenters: UCLA Writing Instruction and Research Education (WI+RE) team

How can we design learning experiences that meet our students where they are? This presentation will introduce you to the learner-centered design principles behind UCLA Library’s WI+RE resources. We’ll participate in a rapid empathy mapping exercise to understand a student research challenge, then demonstrate a practical, interactive solution—a WI+RE tutorial that helps address the challenge. You’ll leave with a new way of thinking about student challenges and a simple way to embed helpful resources directly into your course on Bruin Learn.
