Senior Associate Director for Instructional Design and Programming

Beverly Bondad-Brown is the Senior Associate Director for Instructional Design and Programming for UCLA’s Teaching and Learning Center, where she leads instructional design services and programming for traditional, online, and hybrid courses.

She has over 25 years of experience teaching with technology and has worked professionally as a K-8 teacher, software trainer, corporate instructional designer, LMS administrator, and academic technology director. Before joining UCLA, Beverly led faculty development programming and instructional design efforts at Western University of Health Sciences. Prior to that, she helped launch California State LA’s faculty development programming and academic technology support services when the Center for Effective Teaching and Learning (CETL) was established.

Beverly earned her bachelor’s degree in Communication from UC San Diego, her master’s degree in Instructional Technology and Media from Teachers College, Columbia University, and her Ph.D. in Communication from UC Santa Barbara. She is well-versed in quantitative methods in the social sciences and her research focuses on the social and psychological effects of media. She has also been an adjunct instructor at Cal State LA and Cal State East Bay. She enjoys traveling with her husband and two sons, crocheting, and bowling in her “spare” time.
