Cassidy Alvarado (she/her) is the Program Manager of Student Experience Initiatives for the UCLA Teaching and Learning Center where she manages the Student Experiences of Teaching (SET) program and supports the Assessment of Student and Instructor Experiences (ASIE) unit with campus surveys, such as the Senior Survey.
She brings over 15 years of experience leading innovative programs that empower individuals to achieve their personal, academic, and professional goals. Before joining UCLA in 2025, she served as the Director of National & International Fellowships at Loyola Marymount University, where she supported students and faculty applying for a wide range of competitive grants and research opportunities. In 2022, she participated in a Fulbright Program to South Korea, engaging with universities and government agencies to deepen her understanding of international education.
Cassidy earned an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership for Social Justice from LMU; an M.A. in Humanities from Mount Saint Mary’s University; and a B.A. in English from University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. Her research focuses on community college and transfer student success and access in international education. She is also an adjunct instructor at Purdue Global and had held adjunct positions at UC Berkeley and LMU.
