Special Advisor for Strategic Partnerships & Development Planning

Marc Levis-Fitzgerald, Ph.D., serves as the Teaching and Learning Center’s Special Advisor for Strategic Partnerships & Development Planning. He works with the TLC Communications team to translate self-assessment data into key takeaways and narratives we can use to promote the TLC’s work among campus colleagues as well as engage with new philanthropic opportunities to augment TLC resources and support for high impact educational innovation projects.  He will work to position the TLC as a leader in teaching and learning by engaging in collaborations, projects, and initiatives at the campus, UC system and national levels.

He is a seasoned administrator with 40 years of professional experience in higher education, including staffing the newly-formed Undergraduate Council within the UCLA Academic Senate for four years and later serving as the Director for Educational Assessment in various units within the College.

He is a triple Bruin, including a Ph.D. in Higher Education and Organizational Change. His interests span diverse areas including curriculum reform, student and instructor development, and advancing philanthropic efforts to support transformative teaching and learning initiatives.
