Erin Sanders O’Leary

Erin Sanders O’Leary, Ph.D. serves as the inaugural vice provost for teaching and learning where she guides UCLA’s educational innovation efforts. In addition to overseeing the institution’s Teaching and Learning Center, she leads several campus wide initiatives including activities associated with the Dialogue across Difference teaching prong, serving as co-lead for Strategic Plan Goal 4, chairing the Subcommittee on Academic and Learning Spaces, and representing UCLA as a member of the Bay View Alliance (BVA), which is an international network of research universities leading collaborative approaches to further educational discovery, improve instruction, and transform the teaching culture. Erin heads the Financial Alignment with Inclusive Teaching Effectiveness (FAITE) working group in the BVA, which brings together teaching and learning change agents, skilled practitioners of student learning analytics, and campus business officers to explore ways by which institutions can make better, more informed financial decisions to support educational practices that support student success.
Angela Fentiman

Angela Fentiman is the Director of Communications & Creative Services for the UCLA Teaching and Learning Center where she oversees the TLC’s marketing and communications activities and drives internal and external outreach strategies.
Michelle Chen

Michelle Chen is the Director of Administrative Operations for the UCLA Teaching and Learning Center, where she oversees the administrative support staff who provide project management, event planning, and committee support to all TLC programmatic activities.
Sally PW Wu

Sally PW Wu is the Director of Instructional Design & Media Production for the UCLA Teaching and Learning Center where she oversees the team supporting course development across UCLA and leads the campus strategy on digital learning, teaching with technology, and instructional innovation.
Eric Wells

The Assistant Vice Provost for Teaching and Learning and Chief of Staff at UCLA supports the Vice Provost in managing administrative, financial, HR, IT, and strategic planning functions for the Teaching and Learning Center. Overseeing the administrative units, the Assistant Vice Provost leads programs that enhance instructional quality, promote pedagogical innovation, and support campus-wide teaching initiatives. Additionally, Eric provides analysis and research to the Vice Provost and Senior Campus Leadership, facilitating data-informed decision-making to advance UCLA’s strategic goals related to teaching and learning.
