Creating Inclusive Classrooms

April 18, 2019 @ 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm

This workshop will discuss relevant research from psychology and education that addresses strategies to proactively set norms supportive of an inclusive classroom and to respond to moments of friction in class. The focus of this workshop is on proactive strategies rather than confronting bias. The workshop models inclusivity and will offer the opportunity to practice applying inclusive practices during the workshop to prepare participants to apply them in and outside the classroom.
