The Center for Educational Assessment (CEA) provides comprehensive assessment services to help faculty and campus units develop academic programs, improve the quality of instruction and student learning, secure internal and external grant funding, and generate scholarship of teaching and learning.
CEA strives to promote equity and inclusion through student-centered research to identify both supports and barriers to student success. High-quality assessment is integral to effective teaching and learning, regardless of discipline or program format. We support faculty and campus programs across the University through thoughtful data collection and analyses, which in turn inform strategies for improvement. Our researchers draw on a wide range of expertise to tailor assessment studies for each project and to make assessment an accessible practice for the UCLA community.
